El Mapa de Operaciones de las Telecomunicaciones mejorado, eTOM.
Abstract
En busca del mejor desempeño de las empresas de telecomunicaciones, el Forum de Telegestión (TMF) ha trabajado en el desarrollo de especificaciones fruto de la colaboración entre sus miembros. Una de sus principales propuestas es el Mapa de Operaciones de las Telecomunicaciones mejorado, eTOM, ampliamente utilizado en la actualidad.
En el presente artículo se explican las características, beneficios y se hace una breve descripción del marco de operaciones del eTOM. Además, se exponen algunos ejemplos de su uso por entidades ligadas a las telecomunicaciones, comerciales o no, y se mencionan herramientas informáticas empleadas para el trabajo con sus procesos.
