ANALYSIS OF MASSIVE MIMO SYSTEMS BY COMPARISON OF ZF AND MMSE DETECTORS
Abstract
This paper discusses massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Its influence on achieving higher data throughput, flexibility, and reliability for the fifth-generation (5G) deployment is studied. This is an emerging technology in wireless communication that increases spectral efficiency in comparison with MIMO systems. However, one of the challenges is to achieve efficient algorithms with low complexity and enable their actual implementation. The study addresses the behavior and performance of Zero Forced Zero (ZF) and Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) detectors in different noise and estimation error scenarios. This is done to reduce user interference in a coordinated multi-user cellular system where multiple antennas are employed.
