Evaluación de Herramientas para Monitorizar Tráfico en Enlaces XDSL sobre DSLAM de la serie 5600 HUAWEI.
Abstract
Las redes de acceso experimentan una marcada tendencia a la convergencia, siendo la tecnología xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line, Línea de Subscriptor Digital) una de las más empleadas para vincular servicios de voz y datos. Ante el crecimiento de las implementaciones, la gestión de desempeño deviene indispensable para optimizar las capacidades. En este sentido, los autores evalúan las herramientas de monitorización de tráfico de enlaces xDSL para DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer, Multiplexor de Línea de Acceso de Abonado Digital) de la serie 5600 HUAWEI, brindando una comparación de su desempeño. Las pruebas son ejecutadas en un ambiente de laboratorio donde se consideraran las alternativas: Cacti, MRTG, Netflow y Whats Up Gold.
